Awkward

Hmm… I really hate to blog about nothing, but it really has been too long since I’ve rambled about my life. So far for the past two or so weeks, I’ve been concentrating my efforts on the last few grades of the school year. I figured that since there was only 3 weeks left, I could handle a few nights of serious studying without getting on the computer and browsing random things on Deviantart. Wrong. I still ended up doing what I always do at 1:00 in the morning… And even later, ironically enough. But on the bright side, it’ll all be over soon.

I have lots of big plans for the summer. Since my friends Michelle and Megan are going to start their online shop of uberly cute clothing, little ol’ me will also be opening up shop. I plan on selling charms other cute accessories… I really wish I could sew though, I could completely make sure everything I wore matched that way. Hmm… Maybe Michelle will teach me someday.

And now dun dun dun dun! My random story of the week.
Last Monday a few of my friends and I went to the my school district’s Trustee awards, which are given out for a whole list of reasons. There were about 400 or so people there and some people got as many as seven medals. It’s rather pointless to mention how disgustingly ugly there were, but I guess that’s what you get with a bad budget and 100 barrel fulls of intelligent people. I usually never let mum bully me into clothes that she has chosen for me, but I was just too weak that day and well, it was rather pretty. However I felt like a fish out of water with my inch high heels (which is about five feet worth of danger to a balance challenged individual) and purple-ish skirt.

The whole ceremony was ridiculous and was even taped for future broadcast on public access channel 23. I seriously question the point of public access channels… but I guess some obsessive grandparent might want to tape his or her grandchild walking across stage. When it was my turn to make my way across that big expanse of polished oak floorboards on my very slippery shoes, I wanted to turn back and run towards the door. Well, I guess I wouldn’t run, I’d hobble. In the end I just faced the incredibly bright spotlight and slowly glided my way to the center of the stage. I suppose I was too nervous during the whole event because once I popped from behind the curtains where everyone could see me, my brain completely shut off. The next thing I remember was the award-giver, an old man, rubbing my arm as he went, wow, you’re the only girl in that whole group of guys, eh? I think I’m overreacting here, but that comment completely creeped me out, which resulted in me laughing crazily as I made my exit.

Oh well, the one thing I’ve learned from that whole experience is that

  1. I walk funny
  2. I can bend my legs in a weird, impossible looking manner
  3. Asian parents stress over their kid’s posture
  4. Incorrect posture will lead to dance lessons during the summer

Sitewise: One new desktop wallpaper added, and lots of improvements coming in the next 9 days, because since to all of you visitors who find clicking ads amusing, I was able to finally buy a tablet! Thank you all!

  12. lol, that’s awesome, Roo.

I really hope you don’t have to take dance lessons. Well, unless you want to. But bad posture should not force you into dance lessons… especially if you are ‘balance impaired.’ I should know. I can picture myself now!… oh no, how about not. :)
