Filed under: Asides / Posted on: Jan, 31I’m not sure why, but this song is just super catchy.
Kimi ni mune kyun (I’ve got a crush on you, or something to that effect) by YMO, or Yellow Magic Orchestra, a techno pop Japanese group formed around 1978.
Kimi ni Mune Kyun (Kyun) Uwaki na Natsu ga
Boku no Kata ni Te wo Kakete
Kimi ni Mune Kyun (Kyun) Ki ga Aru no? tte
Kowaikurai Yomareteru
Sazanami no Rain Dansu Jikan Dake Kowareteku …
Video? Is it just me, or do they sort of seem dazed?

I’ve been working hard away at two new projects lately, which hopefully explains my absence from the virtual world. First of all, I finally got my hands on my new domain (secret!) and that should be up somewhere around March. I plan on using my spring break to finish and release it. After perhaps three different website grand openings, I know how important the first layout is. I really want to start following some 2009 trends this time around, since I’m usually stuck in the past web 2.0 style as of late. Which brings me to another point…
I’ve been blog jumping a lot, or in other words, jumping from blog to blog by ways of blogroll or affiliate links, and it’s really sad how many websites look alike. Sure, I can understand how hard it is not to follow trends set by some “internet idols” out there, and I can bet my fuzzy bunny slippers that all of us have heard of Swimchick.net, Saruna.net, and Outspoken-kate.com . But I don’t really see a reason to almost copy their layouts exactly, not to mention their own individual styles. That is why I would really like to see a really unique website once in a while, that’s not too much to ask for right?
On the other hand, it seems that every possible innovation in web design, at least in my tiny bird brain, has already been done and exploited to its full extent. Please please may a super powerful shock of creativity hit each and every one of us. Fingers crossed.

I might be imagining this, but it has happened before (after the surgery). Let me tell you, having your uvula flap about is not the funnest thing in the world, especially if you have a sensitive gag reflex.
