I would have liked to blog about a nice peaceful Friday evening at home, but however, I cannot. Due to the fact that I am too nice for my own good and was dragged to the school “fall” dance by Caroline. If you are having images of pretty girls in gowns and guys in dashing tuxedos, just stop. It will disappoint you far too much from the description I am about to give.

When Caroline and I first arrived, we were oh so shocked to find that we were the first two eager young beavers to be welcomed into the gloomy cafeteria that looked even more ridiculous with the plastic fish taped on some of the walls. By instinct I suppose, we went to a corner of the room and complained to each other about the outdated music and bad taste of decoration. Soon, Andrew and Nick joined in our little sad group. The latter also was dragged by Caroline to come to the dance.

Now here comes the entertaining part of the night. I have known Andrew for about two days, his first impression was pretty good- I knew him as the innocent blond kid that sat in front of me in geometry. How wrong I was to assume that. Just some advice to all of you out there, never judge a person by their looks. Give yourself some time to find out how deeply corrupted they are. That way, you won’t fall over in surprise when you see your friend doing something that you would never expect he or she to do. For instance, hmm, leading a girl on when he clearly had no interest for her. Tsk tsk Andrew, I am so disappointed in you. Oh how Caroline and I laughed, as we watched from afar, at a couple of sophomores who started taking interest in the innocent looking freshman. :T

The Corrupted Dance

I have a tendency to skip breakfast in the mornings, I know through hours of lecturing in class of how unhealthy it is, but I never seem to have the time. Until today.

There wasn’t much of a choice as to what I could eat in the mornings, so I just grabbed a sweet roll and inhaled it. Following it up with a coke that was nice and cold from the fridge. Needless to say that this extra dose of sugar and caffeine made me jittery as I ran out the door to catch the bus.

Nothing exciting happened for about 3 and a half periods, in other words, until I got to orchestra- probably my most laid off class. I am currently sitting in the back row of the cello section, which means I get an absolutely spectacular view of the heads of the people in front of me. Still on my little sugar high, I started scrutinizing the different shapes of heads that I saw. In the midst of the deep concentration I was in, I suddenly realized that I’ve never seen a perfectly round head before. And this cracked me up. I’m not sure why… it just did. (Blame the sugar if you must.) So there I was, silently laughing and shaking slightly until my face, I assume, turned red. Although only Ashley and a few other people noticed, so that was a relief.

Now is the time to bring another one of my friends into the light. I’ve known her for about 2 years now, since seventh grade. Her name is Lisa and I love her to death. Lisa and I have a funny little joke between the two of us, it all started one day when I was complaining to her of how I could literally trip on cue. Today she decided to test me, just when I was telling her I was having one of those klutzy days. While we were walking towards 5th period, she suddenly sticks out her foot in front of me and says “trip”. I was at the time, holding a pile of binders and textbooks so I didn’t see her move her leg. Thinking it was just a tease, I was taken completely by surprise and almost bumped into the sophomore that was walking in front of us. Well, Lisa, what did you really expect me to do?

I’ve added some color schemes to help those who are at a graphics block. These are some of my favorite color selections that I think are pretty spiffy. I’ll be adding more later today! You can view all of the available schemes here.
