Still Alive :]

Still Alive :]

Since this week has been hectic, the only time I have to write really is today, instead of my usual Friday blogging spree. So yes, I am still alive and breathing in case anyone was wondering.

I’m not sure why all the homework usually gathers up on one day out of the week for me. And of course, that day has to be Wednesday, when I have my lovely cello lessons- which means I usually get home around 9:30pm or so. I have pretty much given up getting a full 8 hours of sleep lately, HA! who needs sleep? Certainly not I.

The major event of last week I suppose was the orchestra concert which took place on Thursday night. After getting home from school at around 5:00, I only had enough time to take a sad 30 minute power nap and swallow a few bites off a banana. Then I dashed upstairs to throw on the pitiful excuse for a dress that the school provided. Most of my friends think these uniforms look like maternity clothing, I think that I’d be happier if that was the case, since at least the material would be more soft and loose around the shoulders. I can imagine that I looked like an idiot trying to get the zipper, since it was literally impossible for me to stretch my arms around to the back.

This time around, my neighbor, Ashton, was nice enough to give me a ride to the hour rehearsal before the concert. I can’t wait until I can drive my own lazy bum around. :T I know, an hour isn’t as bad as it could have been, but the lighting director kept on amusing himself with the dimmer throughout the rehersal. All in all, the concert itself went pretty well, at least I didn’t fling my bow out at one of the audience members by accident. My knuckles were white from the death grip I had on the poor bow anyways, just in case.

On Saturday afternoon I went out on a date with Eva to see the Crow Collection of Asian Art, for a project. It was located in a very artsy part of Dallas that I’ve never seen before, there were at least 3-4 museums in the area where we visited. We spent three hours taking notes on the ceramics exhibit, although my favorite part of the day was when we stopped by the snuff bottles. These were bottles which were used to hold tobacco, my favorite one that was a perfect replica of a walnut.

The rest of my weekend was spent mostly working on a layout with Liz of saruna.net. I must say that it was a blast to work with her, even though there were a lot of details to consider, especially since we had different styles when it came to coding. But I think the end result turned out awesome, so please check that out and give me some feedback!

Sitewise

Don’t be expecting much of me this week, since it is the last 5 days before all region, yikes! I promise I will put up the brand spanking new css template I’ve been working on this following weekend though.
