It might just kill you

It might just kill you

icon If a random stranger walked up to me one day and asked, “What is your number one fear?” Not very likely, I know, but hey, it serves my point. I would respond immediately with the fact that I am utterly afraid to exercise. Maybe it’s my atychiphobia, fear of failure, or maybe its because I am downright lazy and would rather sit at home eating cake. This is why I was extremely unpleased when my dear, sweet, persistently annoying friend Ham decided to drag me to the gym with her. And on top of that, I was already sore from my 30 minute walk, back and forth, to the Edenbrooke retirement home earlier that morning. Mind, it would take a normal person 18 minutes tops.

Being uncharacteristically optimistic, I walked into unknown territory with high hopes of relieving some of my anger with a nice, friendly game of badminton. :annoyed: I can proudly say that this is probably the only sport, if it can even be called a sport, that I am actually quite good at. Sure, it meant I had to run a tad to whack the ball at my incredibly tiny opponent… with her muscles… but it surely was worth it. Afterwards, we decided to try out the cycles, or whatever is the proper term for the stationary bikes you pedal on. For a few minutes I amused myself with the fan attached to the front of the bike’s dashboard, thinking of the wide open roads I’d often go riding down back in good ol’ Iowa. Ah, that wide stretch of smooth earth where one can close her eyes and enjoy the breeze without the risk of peddling into a lamppost and getting a face full of asphalt. All in all, I don’t regret being bullied to go and stretch my wiggly legs, but the pain of the morning afterwards isn’t something that’s rocking my boat.

I hope some of you have noticed the massive updates I’ve made during this past week. For example, I’ve finally added some stock vectors, a few new glossy webcons, one new abstract vector wallpaper, a new category of pixel clocks, a new section of easy to install wordpress calendars, and last but not least, those wordpress themes I’ve been promising for so long. Tell me what you think!
