Day 13: The Funny Thing about Spambots

Ever since I reopened the site (roughly four days ago), I’ve been plagued by spam bots. At first I was overly optimistic and almost fooled myself into thinking that I had some very interesting, and completely random, commenters – but alas, I highly doubt my readers’ interest in buying gold or reviewing brushes for collies.

I’m split between amusement and disappointment, the former is due to the subtlety that spammers have adopted in these past few years, and the latter, is due to the sad fact that the majority of my page views are contributed by people who want me to buy their SEO programs. Oh well, I never thought that coming back to the blogging world would be easy, and I’ll continue to work at building this site back up.

On that note, I have been revisiting some of my old CSS templates. My coding style has changed dramatically since I first created these, and I believe that it will be beneficial to everyone if I tweaked them to fit current web standards. Hopefully it won’t take too long!
